Jacobs Hits 2 home runs in Skyliners Win
New York and Sicily duked it out and the Skyliners came out victorious.

The New York Skyliners defeated the Sicily Mafia by the score of 6-4, with the biggest share of the credit going to designated hitter Jack Jacobs. Jacobs went 4-5 with 2 home runs and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for the Skyliners on the day. Chris Ellis, 2-0, earned the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on 4 hits in 1.1 innings.

Jacobs had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 0-2 fastball from Remi Labraccio, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Skyliners a 6-3 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Jacobs.

New York manager Dan Danielson called it "a darn good win."

New York is now 12-14. Sicily is 11-15.
