Riding the 2-hit performance of the 27-year old center fielder Karl Gallizio, the Sicily Mafia defeated the New York Skyliners, 12-2. Pippo Ammanati picked up the win with 7.2 innings of work. He allowed 2 runs on 6 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 3. On the season, he is now 4-3. This win makes it 5 in a row for Sicily.

With Sicily trailing 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Gallizio hit a fastball from Matt Heydt for a grand slam home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Mafia ahead, 4-1.
