Ken Roberts, who led the TOBA in strikeouts with 129 last year, propelled his team to victory over the New York Skyliners. The final score was 5-4, Iceland. Roberts, now 8-0, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 6, walking 2, and allowing 4 runs. The setback makes New York 20-11.

The decisive blow was delivered by Joel Reid in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a run-scoring double off 36-year old right-handed pitcher Mike Butler to win the game for Iceland. The home crowd went nuts.

"Ken did a heck of a job," said Iceland manager Dan Danielson.
