Anglers Pull Out Late Win, 4-3
Providence beat Iceland on the strength of starting pitcher Danny Arellano's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a win, 4-3. Arellano, who is tied for 6th in the TOBA in complete games with 2, went the distance for Providence. He gave up 3 runs on 8 hits. Providence raised its record to 17-15 with the win.

Phil Anderson went 1-3 with a double for Providence. The 24-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Ewan Moore. It was his 19th RBI of the season.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Anderson said after the game.
