Sicily and New York played a hard-fought contest.

The Sicily Mafia scooped up a win at Skyliners Stadium, dumping the New York Skyliners, 3-1. Renaud Goffi was essential to his team's success. New York now is 2-2.

Sicily used a well-timed hit by Carmelo Marsuppini to capture the win. The right fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Mafia ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

Afterward, Mafia manager Dan Danielson said, "We had some good at-bats, some big at-bats in some key situations."
