Skyliners Stadium was the site of a competitive game between the New York Skyliners and Mobile Monsters.

New York wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Bobby Stamper, falling to the Mobile Monsters, 3-1. Stamper threw 8.0 innings of 3-hit ball for the losing team. Mobile leads the West Division by 2½ games.

Mobile used a well-timed hit by Matt Ward to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a run-scoring double in the top of the first inning to put the Monsters ahead, 1-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Ward said after the game.
