Sedna Gets 3-1 Win
|
Mars got a valiant performance from pitcher Elijah Jordan, but it wasn't enough to beat the Sedna Supernovas. Sedna won the game, 3-1. Jordan threw 7.2 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. Efrain Guevara earned the win to go to 4-1. He allowed 1 run on 6 hits, with 4 walks and 5 strikeouts in 6.2 innings of work. Cliff O'Connell notched his 3rd save of the season.
Sedna won the game in part because of Aaron Bryant. The shortstop ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Supernovas ahead, 2-1. For the game, Bryant had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.
Sedna manager Dan Danielson called it "a pretty good win."
With the win, the Supernovas sit at 14-13.
