Ceres and Keiper duked it out and the Asteroids came out victorious.

The Ceres Asteroids rode a solid performance from 28-year-old starting pitcher Asad Hakem to a win, beating the Keiper Krakens, 3-0, at Kraken Grounds. Hakem, the winner, moves to 3-4. He threw 7.1 innings of 1-hit ball, while fanning 3 and giving up 5 walks. Bill Madrueno was called on to finish, recording his 8th save.

EinuEhoraie Halolani came through with a big-time hit for Ceres. The designated hitter smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 3-0. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"We didn't score," said losing manager Richard Stryker. "That was the problem."

The triumph puts Ceres at 15-14 for the season.
