Lunar Rallies for 7-4 Win
|
The Lunar Dark Knights took Seoul pitcher Chris Hirschfield's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Suns Park. The final score had Lunar getting past the Suns, 7-4. Hirschfield went 7 innings and allowed 3 runs, striking out 8. Olakeakua Gymea earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.2 innings. His record is now 1-0. The Dark Knights go to 12-20 with the win.
Lunar used the timely hitting of Alex Cardenas to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Dark Knights on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We'll take some time to unwind," said Cardenas, "and then get after it again."
