The Ceres Asteroids topped the Keiper Krakens, 6-5, in Sol Baseball league 1 action at Kraken Grounds. The standout performance belonged to Ceres pitcher and Guayama, Puerto Rico, native Orlando Trigo. Ceres is last in the Retrograde Division with a record of 16-17.

The game was at a stalemate until designated hitter Fontana Maffeis came to bat in the top of the ninth. Facing Keiper pitcher Hyuk Ji, he hit a 1-0 slider for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Ceres on top, 6-5.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Keiper manager Richard Stryker. "But we decided not to take it."
