Due in large part to third baseman Adrian Lopez, the Io Isotopes sunk the Tokyo 99ers, 25-3. Lopez was 3 for 5 with 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 6. With the win, Io pushed its record to 20-14.

The game turned with two out in the top of the fourth. That's when Lopez hit a 2-run home run off Quincy Elliston. It propelled the Isotopes into the lead, 4-2.

Tokyo manager called the loss "a monumental failure."
