Lions Prevail, 3-2, Over New York
|
The Paris Lions got a marvelous performance from pitcher Teruo Noda. The left-hander kept the New York offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 3-2 Paris victory at Flying Squirrels Park. After losing, New York is 0-5.
The Lions got a big at-bat from designated hitter Buddy Snoeren. For the game, Snoeren was 1 for 3 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Paris a 3-0 lead.
"Both teams played hard," said Paris manager Dan Danielson.
