Lisbon and Providence duked it out and the Seafarers came out victorious.

The Lisbon Seafarers picked up a win at The Pond, topping the Providence Anglers, 4-2. On the mound for Lisbon was right-hander Brian Robb. He played a principal role in the triumph. With the win, Lisbon raised its record to 24-19.

Lisbon used a timely hit from Kazu Nakanishi to get the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Seafarers ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"The only difference is executing pitches and not executing pitches," said Robb. "When you don't execute, you get beat. When you execute, you usually give your team a chance to win."
