The Mars Maniacs defeated the Keiper Krakens, 8-6, at Maniac Manor. Mars was led by 24-year old catcher Zhong-yan Xú, who went 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. Mennad Sokoine notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 3.2 innings. His record now sits at 2-0. Mars, at 17-18, occupies third place in the Retrograde Division.

The game was all tied up in the bottom of the eighth, until Xú delivered big-time for Mars, stroking a dramatic 2-run single off Yasuhiro Tokuda. The game-changing hit put the Maniacs on top, 8-6.

Xú told a Mars Daily News reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
