Aurora Deal Anglers 8-6 Defeat
|
The Iceland Aurora picked up a win at The Pond, knocking off the Providence Anglers, 8-6. Starting pitcher Hirose Inouye was a big reason why. The save went to Ken Roberts, his 2nd this season. With the win, Iceland pushed its record to 20-15.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Alain Viard? The Iceland center fielder had a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Aurora on top, 2-0. For the game, Viard had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"There's a lot of passion in our clubhouse," said Viard. "When we put it together we're a great ball club."
