The Berlin Bears and Newfoundland Labradors played an exciting game.

The Berlin Bears racked up a win at Bears Fields, bumping off the Newfoundland Labradors, 3-2. Alex Hernandez, who started for Berlin, pitched effectively for his team. Hernandez, now 3-7, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 2, walking 2, and allowing 2 runs.

A crucial at-bat came with runners on 2nd and 3rd and one out in the bottom of the seventh inning. That's when second baseman Bryan Peden hit a run-scoring single. The Bears went on to win.

Hernandez described the clubhouse as "kind of rowdy" after the game.
