Looij, Lions Too Much for Monsters
|
The Paris Lions defeated the Mobile Monsters, 9-5. First Baseman Lance Looij deserved a large share of the credit. Looij went 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 3 times and drove in 3 for the Lions. Paris is now 21-24, while Mobile is 19-26.
Paris used the hitting of Romain Larue to pick up the win. The center fielder clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Lions on top, 4-1. For the game, Larue had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"I felt good up there," said Looij. "I saw the ball well."
