The Paris Lions picked up a win at Flying Squirrels Park, knocking off the New York Skyliners, 5-1. Starting pitcher Parker Frost was a big reason why. Frost got the win, improving to 2-0. He gave up 10 hits and walked 1 over 9 innings. He allowed 1 run. The defeat makes New York 0-6.

Jesus Medina, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 1952 draft, took New York hurler Chris Ellis deep in the bottom of the seventh. His 2-run home run put the Lions on top, 2-1. In all, Medina had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 5.
