A 4-RBI performance from first baseman Mike O'Shea, who is tied for 10th in the TOBA with a .851 OPS, led the New York Skyliners to a win over the Paris Lions, 9-5. Chris Ellis earned the win to go to 3-6. He allowed 5 runs on 12 hits, with 1 walk and 6 strikeouts in 6.2 innings of work. Eddie Johnson got the save, the 1st for him this season.

New York designated hitter Kai Coles contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the third. With two down, he hit a slider to left field for a run-scoring single. It was his 39th hit of the season and put the Skyliners ahead, 4-3.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," O'Shea said.
