The Iceland Aurora beat the Mobile Monsters, 6-3. Iceland pitcher and Kawartha Lakes, Canada, native Jim Meagher led the way. Meagher, now 5-6, was the winner. In 8.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 4, walking 3, and allowing 3 runs. With the win, Iceland raised its record to 29-26.

Iceland used the clutch hitting of Wu-shiun Huo to snag the win. The catcher drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Aurora ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.

Iceland manager Dan Danielson was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys played hard," he said.
