Labradors Upend Skyliners, 3-2
Getting a good performance from first baseman Andy Alejandre, the Newfoundland Labradors defeated the New York Skyliners, 3-2. Alejandre went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for the Labradors. Lazar Telacevic, who went 6.2 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 2 runs on 6 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 4. His record now stands at 7-5. Picking up the save was 30-year old left-handed pitcher Oscar Ramirez.

Newfoundland grabbed the momentum in the top of the fifth, when Alejandre hit a run-scoring double off Eddie Johnson. His 2nd double of the season put the Labradors out in front, 2-1.

"It was a good effort all around," said Alejandre.

The defeat makes New York 30-16.
