Aurora Smoke Lions, 16-1
Due in large part to designated hitter Kjeld Penders, the Iceland Aurora sunk the Paris Lions, 16-1. Penders was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. Hirose Inouye got the win, improving to 4-6. He worked 9 innings, giving up 1 run on 7 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 1. The win elevated the Aurora to 28-18.

Cameron Cichetti had a big bases-clearing triple for the Aurora in the bottom of the second inning. With Iceland leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a sinker from 31-year old left-handed pitcher Parker Frost and swatted a triple to left-center. It was his 1st triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Aurora ahead, 4-0.

Said Paris manager Dan Danielson: "We got our rear ends kicked."
