Cook Blisters Paris
The Iceland Aurora stopped the Paris Lions by a score of 9-6 at Aurora Field, with the lion's share of the credit going to shortstop Bryan Cook. The 30-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits.

"Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Cook said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard."

Cook did just that in his 5 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Lions.

"Not much that I can say," offered Paris manager Dan Danielson. "He just hammered the heck out of us."

Bryan Cook hit a two-run home run off Yvain Vecchio in the 1st, hit an RBI triple in the 2nd, doubled in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Teruo Noda in the 6th and singled in the 8th.

Currently Cook has 13 home runs and a .272 batting average.
