Iceland center fielder Alain Viard contributed significantly to his team's 5-4 win over the Lisbon Seafarers. Viard, who is tied for 4th in the TOBA in triples with 4, went 2 for 3 with no runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Aurora. Tim Siragusa came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3 innings. His record now stands at 1-0. With this game in the books, Iceland is 28-30, Lisbon 35-23.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With two out, Viard hit a splitter from Ambrosius Schwartz for a run-scoring single. The Aurora, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
