The Paris Lions got a sterling performance from second baseman Josh Galey, but the Sicily Mafia still prevailed, 6-5. Galey was 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. Enea Paluzzi, who is tied for 3rd in the TOBA in holds with 1, nailed down the save. Sicily goes to 28-31, Paris to 22-37.

Had Valentin Covi not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Covi hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Mafia.

Covi told a Sicily Daily News reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
