Seafarers Lose to Aurora, 5-3
|
The Iceland Aurora beat the Lisbon Seafarers, 5-3. Iceland pitcher and Plymouth, England, native Ewan Moore led the way. Tim Siragusa nailed down his 8th save. By defeating Lisbon, the second-place Aurora improved to 29-30.
Making an impact for Iceland was shortstop Caesar Friis-Knutzen. The Lip drilled a run-scoring double off Jim Upham in the bottom of the first. For the game, Friis-Knutzen went 2 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI.
