Lions Suffer 7-5 Road Loss
The Sicily Mafia downed the Paris Lions, 7-5, at Mussolini Municipal Park. The Mafia were led by Tiberio Bagio. Bagio went 3 for 4 with 3 singles. Ceasario DeSanctis, who finished 5th in the TOBA in saves with 9 last year, was the winner in relief. His record is now 3-5. The losing pitcher was Juan Moreno. Biaiardo Arcangeli earned his 2nd save, after closing out the game.

Sicily took a 6-5 lead on Luigino Spiteri's 2nd double of the season. The 2-run double, which Spiteri hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Paris pitcher Juan Moreno visibly frustrated.

"It was our day today," Bagio told the Sicily Bulletin. "But we've got to keep our nose to the grindstone."

The win puts Sicily at 21-38.
