Viard Delivers Walk-Off Win for Aurora
The Iceland Aurora faced a tough opponent in Los Angeles pitcher Cédric Piot, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Aurora Field by a final score of 2-1. Piot went 8 innings and allowed 1 run. The Aurora improved their record to 31-32 with the win over Los Angeles.

The decisive blow was delivered by Alain Viard in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a run-scoring double off 24-year old right-handed pitcher Khalil Smith to win the game for Iceland. The home crowd went nuts.

"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Viard.
