Anglers Stumble, Losing to Labradors, 4-2
Dedicated fans weathered the storm to watch their beloved Labradors beat the Anglers.

Starting pitcher Dan Hulbert was a major factor in the 4-2 Newfoundland Labradors triumph over the Providence Anglers. The winner was Hulbert. He threw 8.2 innings of 7-hit ball. The loser was Steve Ausmus. Jay Bell recorded the save, his 1st.

The Labradors got a big at-bat from designated hitter Glen Cook. For the game, Cook went 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Newfoundland a 3-0 lead.

"Winning is hard sometimes," said Labradors manager Dan Danielson. "This one was nice to get."

The loss drops Providence to 3-2.
