The Mobile Monsters racked up a win at Paris Municipal Park, bumping off the Paris Lions, 5-2. Hiromi Yoneda, who started for Mobile, pitched effectively for his team. The winner was Yoneda. He threw 8.0 innings allowing 2 runs. The loser was Teruo Noda. Getting the save was Scott Bradburn, his 12th.

Mobile used the timely hitting of Loflinger Schneider to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Monsters on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Very good win for our guys," said Schneider.

The Monsters now have a record of 32-34 with the win over Paris.
