The Iceland Aurora dealt the Mobile Monsters a 4-3 loss at Mobile Park. Salvatorio Tartaglia, who finished 3rd in the TOBA in RBI with 60 last year, was the star on offense. He was 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The Aurora, now 5-2, have played some good baseball in the early going.

Tartaglia had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 1-2 changeup from Hiromi Yoneda, he banged a solo home run to left, giving the Aurora a 4-3 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Tartaglia.

Tartaglia told a Iceland News reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
