Lions Sunk by Skyliners
|
The New York Skyliners picked up a win at Skyliners Stadium, knocking off the Paris Lions, 6-3. Starting pitcher Chris Ellis played a key role in the triumph. Picking up the save was Jean Poisson, his 1st. The Skyliners, now 5-2, have hit the ground running this season.
The Skyliners got a big at-bat from designated hitter Kai Coles. For the game, Coles went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave New York a 3-0 lead.
"We didn't get the results that we wanted," said Paris skipper Dan Danielson.
