Iceland Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
The Iceland Aurora stopped the Lisbon Seafarers, 8-5, behind an impressive performance from Huibert van Duren. The four-time All-Star made life miserable for Lisbon pitching. He belted 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. The winner was Jim Meagher in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Aaron Williams took the loss. Iceland is off to a hot start at 4-2.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With two out, van Duren hit a curveball from William Kelly for a 3-run home run. The Aurora, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"The ending was a real humdinger," van Duren told reporters after the game.
