The inspired effort of Paris second baseman Josh Galey was not enough to prevent a loss, 7-3, to the Sicily Mafia. Galey went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3. Enea Paluzzi got the win, improving to 1-1. He worked 8 innings, giving up 2 runs on 9 hits, while striking out 1 and walking 3. The win puts Sicily at 3-4.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Valentin Covi? The Sicily center fielder had a run-scoring single in the top of the first inning to put the Mafia on top, 1-0. For the game, Covi had 1 double and 3 singles in 5 at-bats.

"We need to keep playing good baseball," Covi told the Sicily Gazette.
