The Keiper Krakens picked up a win at Isotope Arena, dropping the Io Isotopes, 6-2. Meynard Demape, who is tied for 3rd in the SBL1 in wins with 6, was the difference-maker. Keiper goes to 39-18. The win puts them 4½ games up in their division.

It could have been a different outcome for Keiper, had it not been for Toyokazu Takahashi, the 25-year old shortstop . Takahashi contributed a 2-run single in the top of the first inning to put Keiper up, 3-0.

"It's easier to pitch when you get run support," said Demape.
