Lions Take Down Skyliners, 8-7
The Paris Lions wiggled past the New York Skyliners, 8-7, at Paris Municipal Park. The win was highlighted by the performance of Paris pitcher Teruo Noda. The win was credited to Edwin Sanchez in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Juan Flores took the loss. Paris goes to 26-45, New York to 33-38.

The Lions got a clutch hit from designated hitter Roger Walter. In the bottom of the 13th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Lions.

"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," Walter said.
