The Keiper Krakens picked up a win at Ceres Stadium, knocking off the Ceres Asteroids, 3-2. Starting pitcher Kalavina Kawena was a big reason why. Keiper now has a record of 40-18 with the win.

Keiper used the timely hitting of Toyokazu Takahashi to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Krakens on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"The vibe's good," said Keiper manager Richard Stryker. "We've got to keep it going."
