Supernovas Drop 99ers, 7-5
|
The Supernovas grabbed a win, 7-5, at Ballpark of Tokyo, overcoming a fine effort from Tokyo pitcher Keola Ahimeleka. Ahimeleka went 5 innings and allowed no runs. Didier Aubert came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.2 innings. His record now stands at 3-0. Cliff O'Connell notched his 8th save in 10 chances.
In the top of the second, Bobby Macias delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and the bases loaded, the Sedna shortstop hit a 2-run single, putting the Supernovas in front, 7-5.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Macias said.
At 27-33, the Supernovas are currently 4th in the Retrograde Division.
