Sicily wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Renaud Goffi, falling to the Providence Anglers, 4-2. Goffi threw 7.2 innings of 5-hit ball for the losing team. After today's action, Providence sits at 40-36; Sicily slips to 34-42.

Providence used the timely hitting of Igor Stastny to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Anglers on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Stastny said after the game.
