Mobile beat Iceland at Mobile Park, escaping with a 4-3 win. The win in large part was due to first baseman Owen Bond. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Mobile reliever Wei-qian Le picked up the win, raising his record to 1-0. John Hahn was tagged with the loss. The loss drops Iceland to 5-3.

Matt Ward was the walk-off hero for Mobile. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Monsters designated hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
