Ling Slugs Nebula to 4-1 Win
|
Riding the 3-hit performance of the 24-year old first baseman Yin-tou Ling, the New York Nebula stopped the Lunar Dark Knights, 4-1. Fabrice Moine, the winner, improved to 7-4. He held Lunar to 1 run on 4 hits over 8 innings, while racking up 8 strikeouts. With the win, the Nebula have a record of 39-24.
With New York trailing 1-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Ling hit a cutter from Tony Sanchez for a 2-run home run. It was his 18th home run of the season and put the Nebula ahead, 2-1.
"It never gets old," said Ling. "Winning, that is."
