Acevez Leads Skyliners to Win
The New York Skyliners topped the Mobile Monsters, 8-3, with catcher Bobby Acevez playing a big role. Acevez went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once for the Skyliners in the win. The winning pitcher was Matt Heydt. He's now 10-8. He went 8 innings, allowing 3 runs on 8 hits for the Skyliners. New York now has a record of 45-34 with the win.

The game turned with one out in the bottom of the fourth. That's when Acevez hit a grand slam home run off Aaron Williams. It propelled the Skyliners into the lead, 6-2.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Acevez.
