A 3-RBI performance from Alex Cardenas helped the Lunar Dark Knights beat the Tokyo 99ers, 6-5. Chris Pittman notched his 11th save in 12 chances. The win has Lunar at 25-39.

Lunar right fielder Charlie Lovett contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the sixth. With two down, he hit a sinker to left-center field for a 2-run single. It was his 74th hit of the season and put the Dark Knights ahead, 5-2.

In postgame comments to the Lunar News, Lovett said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
