The Lisbon Seafarers beat the Sicily Mafia, 8-7, at Mussolini Municipal Park. Lisbon third baseman Kazu Nakanishi had the hot bat. He was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The Seafarers improved their record to 38-42 by beating Sicily.

With Lisbon trailing 6-5 in the top of the ninth, Nakanishi hit a splitter from Ceasario DeSanctis for a 3-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Seafarers ahead, 8-6.

"You win some, you lose some. I don't get too caught up in all that," said Nakanishi.
