Tom Ledoux propelled his team to victory over the Providence Anglers. The final score was 10-8, New York. New York reliever Tom Ledoux got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Danny Arellano was tagged with the loss. Mike Butler earned his 10th save in 14 chances.

New York used the timely hitting of Jesus Gelacio to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Skyliners on top, 8-6. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"It's nice to step up when your team needs you," said Gelacio.

New York is 45-36 and Providence, with the loss, 42-39.
