Seafarers Rally to Eke Out Win
The Lisbon Seafarers faced a tenacious opponent in Los Angeles pitcher Chris Walker, but still scratched out a win at Seafarers Stadium by a final score of 7-6 in 16 innings. Walker went 8 innings and allowed 3 runs. The win was credited to 29-year old left-handed pitcher Chance Moder in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Jeff Achber took the loss. The win gives Lisbon a record of 5-4.

The decisive blow was delivered by Roger Guillet in the bottom of the 16th when he hit a run-scoring double off 26-year old right-handed pitcher Jeff Achber to win the game for Lisbon. The home crowd went nuts.

"The crowd was juiced," said Guillet.
