Skyliners Flatten Monsters, 11-4
No one was more impactful than Alfonso Salas in the 11-4 New York win over Mobile. Salas, who finished 5th in the TOBA in triples with 5 last year, went 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. New York, at 42-26, is 4 games up in the Trans-Oceanic Baseball Association West Division.

Tomokazu Noguchi had a big grand slam home run for the Skyliners in the bottom of the fifth inning. With New York leading 4-3 and the bases loaded, he sized up a cutter from Sean White, who led the TOBA in ERA with 2.40 last year, and punished it. The result was his 9th home run of the season, which put the Skyliners on top, 8-3.

"Their at-bats were really impressive against us," said losing manager Dan Danielson.
