Villegas Goes 5-for-6
Speaking with reporters after a dominating hitting performance, Fernando Villegas said his club's tilt with the England "felt almost like batting practice." The 18-year-old third baseman went a remarkable 5-for-6 at the plate.

"I saw the ball well and could just about hit it anywhere I wanted," he recalled later.

However, his sensational day wasn't enough for the Dominican Republic, who were topped by the England, 5-4.

"It's a good lesson for him, I guess," Dominican Republic manager said. "Sometimes Fernando is going to lose. But I would rather him go 5-for-6 and lose than go 0-for-6 and lose."

Fernando Villegas singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, grounded out in the 8th and singled in the 10th.
