The home crowd had a good time watching the Lisbon Seafarers and Sicily Mafia get after it.

The 8-5 Sicily win over Lisbon was due largely to Luigino Spiteri. The Mafia designated hitter went 3-5 with 2 doubles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Picking up the save was Enea Paluzzi, his 1st.

With Sicily leading 1-0 in the bottom of the first, Spiteri hit a cutter from Chance Moder for a 2-run double. It was his 4th double of the season and put the Mafia ahead, 3-0.

"Our approach was just to try to see something over the plate and be aggressive," Spiteri told the Sicily Daily News.

The win has Sicily at 4-5.
