Umbriel used the timely hitting of Joe Maoz to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Shadows on top, 9-7. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Anytime you're seeing it well, it's a good feeling," Carney told the Umbriel Chronicle.
