Bouvet Excels, But Shadows Win
|
Fans witnessed a whale of a game between the Umbriel Shadows and Mars Maniacs.
The Mars Maniacs could not turn a fine performance from designated hitter Gurvan Bouvet into a win. Instead, the Umbriel Shadows prevailed, 6-5. Bouvet was 4-5 with 2 home runs and a triple, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. The win has Umbriel at 26-51.
Umbriel designated hitter Joe Maoz contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the ninth. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 33rd hit of the season and put the Shadows ahead, 6-2.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Maoz.
