Anglers Earn 5-4 Win Against Lions
Fans who congregated at The Pond were treated to extra-inning drama.

The Providence Anglers handed the Paris Lions an extra-inning, 5-4 defeat at The Pond. Center Fielder Jerry Maher starred for Providence. He was 3-6 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2. Paris now has a record of 3-8.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With two out, Maher hit a fastball from William Kelly for a solo home run. The Anglers, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"Always feels extra good winning this kind of game," said Maher.
