Monsters 7-5 Winners Over New York
Mobile and New York duked it out and the Monsters came out victorious.

The Mobile Monsters weathered a fine game by New York second baseman Mario Maldonado to upend the Skyliners, 7-5, at Mobile Park. Maldonado went 2 for 2 with a double and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs. Picking up the win was Aaron Williams. He went 6.2 innings, allowing 4 runs on 7 hits. The right--hander struck out 4 and walked 3.

The Monsters got a big at-bat from catcher Aaron Handley. For the game, Handley went 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the sixth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a grand slam home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Mobile a 5-1 lead.

When asked about his performance after the game, Handley said: "Like everyone else, I'm just doing my job."

At 7-4, the Monsters have played well so far.
