Lisbon Downed, 6-3, by Skyliners
|
The New York Skyliners grabbed a win, 6-3, over the Lisbon Seafarers in 11 innings at Seafarers Stadium. New York shortstop Matt MacGillivray went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. The winner was Ken Roberts in relief. His record improves to 2-2. William Kelly took the loss. New York has won 3 straight, while Lisbon has lost 3 in a row.
MacGillivray had a game-changing home run in the top of the 11th. On a 2-2 fastball from William Kelly, he banged a 2-run home run to left-center, giving the Skyliners a 5-3 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for MacGillivray.
"I like to lead by example," said MacGillivray. "I'm glad I could contribute to a good win."
