Hickey Delivers Walk-Off Win for Lions
The Paris Lions topped the Sicily Mafia, 9-7, in Trans-Oceanic Baseball Association action at Paris Municipal Park. The standout performance belonged to Paris pitcher and Ferrara, Italy, native Yvain Vecchio. Paris reliever Yvain Vecchio got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Ennio Maffei was tagged with the loss. With the loss, Sicily drops to 8-3.

Paris got a knockout punch from Jeremy Hickey. The third baseman hammered a grand slam home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"It was bedlam at the end," Vecchio said.
