Lindsey Swings Stars to 6-2 Win

The Los Angeles Stars defeated the Sicily Mafia, 6-2, in part because of center fielder Jayden Lindsey. Lindsey went 4 for 4 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Stars. Brandon Lanning, the winning pitcher, improved to 1-1. He pitched 6.1 innings, giving up 7 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 8 and walking 2. The loss puts Sicily at 4-9.
Daniel Martin, who leads the TOBA in home runs with 5, helped out the Los Angeles cause in the bottom of the third inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the first baseman was 1 for 5.
"Our approach was just to try to see something over the plate and be aggressive," Lindsey told the Los Angeles Citizen.
