Dobie Hits for the Cycle
Jordan Dobie did everything he could for the Pluto Plutarchs -- literally.

The 26-year-old first baseman hit a single, a double, a triple and a home run for the Plutarchs, going for the cycle and helping them get past the Venus Voyagers, 12-3, at Pluto Grounds.

"Yeah, I was some kind of hitter in this game," Dobie reflected later. "It was like all I had to do was close my eyes and swing the bat."

In a game headed for the record books, Dobie banged out 4 hits in 5 at-bats and totaled 3 RBI and 3 runs scored. Speaking with the press about the feat, he attributed it to "a lot of luck."

"A triple is so hard to hit," he said. "To just decide to get one in a game when you need it for a cycle, it's impossible. Usually something weird has to happen, the ball kicking past an outfielder or somebody falling down. There's a ton of luck in hitting for a cycle."

Jordan Dobie struck out in the 1st, hit an RBI triple in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Quinn Boyle in the 7th and doubled in the 8th.

This year, Dobie is batting .340 with 35 hits, 4 home runs, 17 RBIs, 12 walks, .424 OBP and has scored 15 runs.
